Fanfic 100 "Fire"
Title: Pitching In
Fandom: Roswell
Claim: Kyle Valenti
Prompt: 052. "Fire"
Word Count: 125
Rating: G
Author's Note: Takes place after the gang takes off in that little blue van.
Kyle woke up early and got the fire started before the others awoke. Water was boiled for coffee - instant but better than nothing - and he opened a couple of cans of beans and chili for their breakfast. There was always the nagging thought that if he didn't make himself useful, they'd decide to get rid of him. They owed him nothing, and he owed them everything. They'd saved his life, but all he'd done was be born to the man who ended up helping them the most.
Michael emerged from the tent they shared, smiling when he saw what Kyle had done.
"Guess this means we have to keep you," he joked.
Kyle's head snapped up and he forced a smile. "Hope so."
